Industry bests celebrated at AD’s Gypsum Supply Division fall meeting
Phoenix - At an awards ceremony at this year’s Gypsum Supply Division fall meeting, President Dan Maroni congratulated over 40 member and supplier award recipients for their industry excellence and commitment to AD. For the first time in almost 2 years, Maroni had the opportunity to recognize in person the winners from 2019 and 2020.
Member and supplier of the year, the highest honor of the Gypsum Supply Division went to companies that have consistently exemplified excellent support, leadership and growth within the industry.

Jim Collins, president and CEO of ClarkDietrich Building Systems, accepted the award for 2020 AD Gypsum Supply Division Supplier of the Year. Collins addressed the attendees and discussed what the recognition meant to his organization.
“These past couple years have presented their fair share of challenges to the construction industry, and ClarkDietrich remains committed to ensuring our customers’ success through innovation and expert service,” Collins said. “Being recognized as Supplier of the Year is an outstanding honor and one that we will strive to live up to each day. But perhaps the best part of the evening was being able to once again connect—in person—with so many talented professionals from throughout the AD network and share our plans for the years ahead.”
Best Supply, Inc. received the 2019 AD Gypsum Supply Division award for Member of the Year. President and divisional board leader Tim Small told the gathering that he was honored to be the most trusted interior building supply company in seven states for nearly four decades.
“We are most honored to be recognized by AD Gypsum Supply as Member of the Year for our ability to stay ahead of the sheer velocity of change and growth in the building industry,” Small said. “Our entire team is proud and grateful to be observed as a private and independently owned leader.”
Small called getting together once again with AD an unmatched experience. “We are so happy to have been not only welcomed but honored with this award. We look forward to leaving a long-lasting and professional footprint alongside our peers for many years to come.”

In addition to the member and supplier of the year recognitions, the AD Gypsum Supply team was proud to present 23 member companies who had opened locations in 2019 and 2020 with the new branch award. Maroni was also proud to present seven new member companies who joined the Gypsum Supply Division in 2019 and 2020 with a new member award.

The 2020 member growth award honors members that have continued to expand their business and increase purchases from AD suppliers. This award was presented to Frontier Drywall Supply, LLC. The 2020 supplier growth award recognizes supplier partners with the highest membership growth over the previous year and was awarded to Hamilton Drywall Products.
Maroni extended his congratulations to all the winners on behalf of the team and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of these best-in-class member and supplier businesses.
