October 11, 2017

Wayne, PA – On September 25th – 27th 2017, AD, the largest contractor and industrial products wholesale buying group in North America, hosted the AD Electrical North American Meeting, with over 1,000 attendees. This event attracted 158 first time attendees and representatives from over 352 companies in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The theme for this year is #ADSTRONG. AD’s Chairman and CEO, Bill Weisberg, shared the top three attributes that define AD members and suppliers: “Smart, driven and unwavering in their beliefs.” Weisberg also introduced the AD Disaster Relief Foundation which now allows AD members and suppliers to help one another when a natural or man-made disaster strikes.

Ed Crawford, President of AD Electrical US and Latin America shared in the US Business Meeting, “The division has exceeded our original remittance targets in eight of the nine months of 2017. Given our strong year to date performance, the US Electrical Division expects to significantly exceed our original financial targets for 2017.”

AD continues to leverage economies of scale to help their members and suppliers stay ahead of the curve through programs such as AD eCommerce Solutions, AD HR Services, AD Procurement Services, and AD Rewards. Additional highlights of the AD North American Meeting included best in class networking, subject matter expert roundtables, supplier best practice panels, young leader teambuilding activities, and one on one booth appointments.

“First class meetings are a part of AD’s brand,” shared Dan Drazilov, AD Canada’s new President. “I am proud to be a part of the industry’s best meetings and look forward to helping the AD Canada members and suppliers continue to grow their businesses in the coming years.”
