Committees

The U.S. Product Committee reviews and approves prospective and existing suppliers consistent with the organization’s mission and commitments.

The energyFORCE Committee’s mission is to provide oversight and guidance on plans and to be the voice of the membership at large. This committee also identifies prospective Clean Energy Suppliers and provides their recommendations to the U.S. Electrical Product Committee and Canadian Divisional Board for their final review and approval.

The U.S. Membership Committee’s primary mission is to actively prospect and recruit qualified electrical distributors to maintain and enhance AD’s position as the number one electrical supply marketing group in North America.

The U.S. Supplier Advisory Council offers AD management independent advice and recommendations on a wide range of subjects, including strategic industry trends, opportunities to enhance supplier/distributor partnerships, and methods to reduce channel costs.

The Electrical Supply Division supplyFORCE Steering Committee is comprised of representatives from each Electrical Division network and provides focus, direction and communication between the supplyFORCE Board and electrical supply distributors regarding national account opportunities specific to the division.

  • If you're thinking about joining AD, here's one piece of advice I'd offer. No doubt the financial return is significant and reason alone to join, but the real value that's often overlooked is the value that the staff at AD, member distributors and best-in-class suppliers bring to your organization. I can honestly say Shealy Electrical would not be where we are today without the help and guidance we've received from the community provided by AD.

David White, Vice President, Southeast Region, Border States Electric Member since 1985
  • We are really excited about the AD rewards program. It's been a wonderful program for us. What we like about it is it gets to the front lines, both the inside sales and the counter people, and connects our salespeople with them, working on training, working on promotions, working on new products – and the results have been outstanding for us.

John Hoffman, Executive VP Sales & Demand Creation, Legrand Wiremold Supplier Partner since 2004
  • We looked at AD as the best possible fit for networking and gaining economies of scale in multiple industries.

John Orman III, VP, Locke Supply Member since 2015
