Independent Electrical Distributors Meet to Share Best Practices

The 2012 Electrical Divisions’ Spring Network meeting in Phoenix, AZ wrapped up last week. The meeting kicked off on Sunday, April 22nd, with a comprehensive Financial Network meeting whose topics included commodity pricing, business continuity management, succession planning, as well as a number of informative sessions on financing for solar solutions.

The first day of the regular session included Product Committee, Clean Energy Committee and meetings of the US and Canadian Divisional Boards.  AD’s Electrical Committees and Boards provide direction and governance for the Divisions and are comprised of distributor members. 

The final two days of the event included business updates from David Oldfather, President of the Electrical Divisions’, a look into the future with Practical Futurist, Michael Rogers, individual network sessions for best practice sharing and the 2012 Electrical Divisions’ Award Celebration.

This year’s meeting sponsors included Omni Cable, Siemens and Western Tube & Conduit for the Spring Network Event and Syndicated Solar and De Lage Landen for the financial networking event.  

Overall, the meeting was productive, informative and engaging for AD Affiliates and the Electrical Division Staff.  What a great way to kick off the year!
