AD energyFORCE Summit Delivers Enthusiasm and Renewed Focus

June 17, 2016

Wayne, PA – On June 7-8, 2016 AD, the largest contractor and industrial products wholesale buying group in North America, hosted the AD energyFORCE Summit in Raleigh, NC for its electrical members and supplier partners who have a focus and commitment to energy solutions in their marketing and overall business plans.

The main focus of the Summit was on AD member education on AD supplier partners’ PEAK Products, which are energy focused and unique with significant sales growth potential. To this aim, AD announced an exciting ‘30 day’ challenge to encourage their members to implement product learning opportunities across their organizations.

A highlight of the Summit was the Panel Discussion where AD facilitated key questions to the member panel experts from Shealy Electrical Wholesalers, Inc. (West Columbia, SC), Kendall Electric (Portage, MI), and Werner Electric Supply Co. of MN (Cottage Grove, MN) on lighting, switch gear, automation and control, and energy generation topics. Panel members passionately spoke to the audience on how energy solutions fit their businesses and communicated ways they capitalize on energy opportunities to competitively win in the market.

In addition to Networking opportunities, the panel discussion and one-on-one tabletop sessions, AD offered learning tracks to member attendees. Ryan Ramsby, Manager of Energy Solutions at State Electric Supply Company (Huntington, WV) stated, “Most of our Energy Solutions Specialists are averaging 30+ open projects at any given time. One of the key AD energyFORCE Summit takeaways for me was the Learning Track on Evaluating an Energy Opportunity. Too many times we find ourselves investing time into ‘blackhole’ projects, and time is money.”

Following the event, Lesley Matt, Director of Marketing at TCP (Aurora, OH) stated, “AD’s energyFORCE Summit allowed for us to build stronger relationships with AD members that have a core focus on energy efficient products. TCP was able to network and promote key items to the individuals that will actually be purchasing and selling in the field. This was a great event to help build excitement!”

The AD Electrical Premier Marketing Partners were also acknowledged throughout the event. The attending Premier Partners included: Appleton Group, BURNDY, General Cable, Hubbell Lighting, Legrand / Wattstopper, Leviton, Philips, Southwire, and Thomas & Betts.

In conclusion, Ed Crawford, President of AD’s US Electrical and Latin American Divisions stated, “Training, making connections, and networking with like-minded meeting attendees are three important ways to maximize the AD energyFORCE program.” To learn more about AD energyFORCE visit: http://www.adenergyforce.com/.
